A High-Efficiency QR Flyback DC–DC Converter with Reduced Switch Voltage Stress Realized by Applying a Self-Driven Active Snubber (SDAS)

In this paper, a QR flyback converter using self-driven active snubber (SDAS) was proposed to solve the problem of voltage surge in switch converters. converter, SDAS consisting clamping capacitor and an can be configured parallel with main or transformer reduce switch. To confirm steady-state characteristics which is applied, equivalent circuits for each state were constructed, equations determined. A 60 W class small AC–DC adapter constructed effectiveness control circuit method, experimental results analyzed. The size 74×29×23 mm, it had high power density 20 W/in3 more. limited conversion efficiency up 91.56%, maximum approximately 450 V. One reasons such circuit, sufficiently reduces switch, compared RCD clamp does not consume principle.
